Fan Chung

Hey there! I'm Fan, a PhD student at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). I recieved my bachelor degree at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), majoring in Computer Science.

Before coming to EPFL, I was a research assistant at Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, advised by Prof. Yuan-Hao Chang and Prof. Chun-Feng Wu. I worked on designing efficient computing abstractions for cloud computing and modern applications.

During the Spring 2023 semester, I had the opportunity to study abroad as an exchange student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). At UIUC, I was fortunate to be a part of Xlab, led by Prof. Tianyin Xu. We focused on enhancing Linux virtual memory for versatile support of page table designs.

Before that, I led the System group at the Information Technology Center (CSIT) in NYCU's CS department, where we are responsible for the infrastructure for department web services and student workstations.

I love sharing what I know, and I've been a TA for three courses at NYCU. It's been rewarding to assist others in grasping challenging concepts and supporting their learning!
