Hey there! I'm Fan, a PhD student at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, working with Prof. George Candea. I earned my bachelor's degree in Computer Science from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan.

Before coming to EPFL, I was a research assistant at Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, advised by Prof. Yuan-Hao Chang and Prof. Chun-Feng Wu. I worked on designing efficient fuzzing systems for networked applications.

I also studied abroad as an exchange student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). At UIUC, I was fortunate to be a part of Xlab, led by Prof. Tianyin Xu. We focused on enhancing Linux virtual memory system for versatile support of page table designs.

Before that, I led the System team at the Information Technology Center (CSIT) in NYCU's CS department, where we were responsible for the infrastructure for department web services and student workstations.

I love sharing what I know, and I've been a TA for courses at both NYCU and EPFL. Every time, it's rewarding to help students work through challenging concepts and grow in their learning!
